Jewelry Center - Los Angeles, California

The Foreman & Clark building is a 13-story reinfornced concrete frame commercial building with limestone cladding located at the soutwest corner of West 7th and south Hill street in Downtown Los Angeles, in a dense, urban setting. This building was created as part of expansion of the early Broadway shopping district to the west along West 7th street, following a trend that started with Bullock's and later included J.W. Robinson Company. The Foreman & Clark building's period of significance ranges from its completion in 1929 to the early 1960s when it appears the business ceased to operated from this location. This building is a remarkable example of Art Deco design with Gothic theme worthy of local landmark designation.
